Glad to help. :) 28bytes (talk) 23:19, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
So, it appears from the MFD in question that you're synthesis is correct: People don't mind a Nazi Germany portal, they just don't want this Nazi Germany portal. What action would you propose I take (as a non-admin who can't view deleted content) in creating a truly neutral Portal. How long would you propose I wait, post-MFD, before creating a new page? I don't want to run afoul of CSD#G4, but I seriously believe a useful portal can be made of this. Achowat (talk) 17:52, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
That's a tough question. It's possible that the MfD will close as "delete, with no prejudice against recreation by a neutral, responsible editor" (or something like that), in which case you can get to work fairly quickly. If you do, I'd recommend starting from scratch (or at least using a different portal as a guide) to improve the odds of surviving a G4 or deletion review discussion. 28bytes (talk) 18:06, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, there's no worry of that. I built Portal:New England from practically scratch, so I'd probably just use that format it like that. I have no sympathy for Naziism at all, but it seems a shame for such a potentially-useful Portal (with such a long list of High Quality content) to not exist. Achowat (talk) 18:17, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
Looks like it did indeed close that way, so I see no barriers to you putting something better together. Cheers, 28bytes (talk) 19:16, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
Do you mind taking a look at the Portal as it stands now (1 each Selected Article/Bio/Picture) and just reaffirm me that I'm building this in a neutral way? Given the MFD, I know I'm treading on tricky waters, and I just want to make sure that this is getting done right. Achowat (talk) 21:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
I appreciate the invitation, but I hope you won't be offended if I say I'm a bit Nazi-ed out at the moment, and would rather not. 28bytes (talk) 21:29, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
You think you're Nazi-ed out... I just deleted over 100 links to that portal, by hand (I think I need someone to explain how AWB works to me). That's being Nazi-ed out. Especially since once Achowat gets it in shape, many of those links will probably just be re-added. --Floquenbeam (talk) 23:48, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
I perfectly understand the Nazi'd out feeling. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and, absent any complaints, I'll assume I'm not offending anyone. Thanks a bunch, guys. Achowat (talk) 00:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
I just logged on and found that you are now a bureaucrat! Good luck! Reaper Eternal (talk) 02:18, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Please change my username
I am requesting a username change please. From Kindspirit to SocialStephen. I have grown out of Kindspirit and have grown into SocialStephen. It would mean a lot to me if you could honor this request, as I have a lot to contribute to the site, and I would really like to contribute using the username SocialStephen.
Kindspirit (talk) 19:13, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
Done. The user "Kindspirit" has been renamed to "SocialStephen". 28bytes (talk) 19:16, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
Ola. About: Vitare
Hey there, I wrote an article on Vitare which got deleted. Hehe. I'm ever so sorry for troubling you but It would be very appreciated if I could have a copy of the deleted page. Thanks.
Well, I need a copy of that article because I didn't save it on my computer and I would like to get back some of the content I wrote/typed in it. Well, I basically need that content to help edit the Vitare Wikia Page. Thank you for your help. XD
Replied there. 28bytes (talk) 13:38, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi 28. I'm just pointing out that your bot doesn't seem to be time/date stamping itself . Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:55, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know; I will investigate this. 28bytes (talk) 13:38, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the comments at my RFA
Thanks for the comments at my RFA. Although I do enjoy editing and I do believe in the project, the outcome will help me decide what my future on wiki will be. Regardless of how I enjoy it, its kind of like if you worked somewhere and they told you "we think you do a good job but we don't trust you so we are never going to give you any support, we'll never give you anymore access or authority to do the things that need to be done, regardless of your level of competency in the subject". It sorta gives one perspective on whether their time is well spent and wether it would be better spent doing something else. Kumioko (talk) 15:27, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
I haven't commented there yet, but I'll say I disagree with the "never" aspect. I like to think that a majority of !voters at RfA ignore problems that existed prior to the previous RfA unless those problems persist. In this case, many of the issues presented were from this year. RyanVesey 15:30, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
I think most people would be willing to give things a fresh look a few months down the road. I'm not seeing a lot of "never"s in that discussion, and even the people who want to see more time pass since the unpleasantness of February and April have said they appreciate the work you've been doing. 28bytes (talk) 17:00, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Its really not a big deal. Kumioko (talk) 17:59, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello, my name is Kurtis. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. bureaucrat person. =)
And thanks for the rename, I appreciate it. Kurtis (talk) 05:07, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
You're welcome. Glad to help. :) 28bytes (talk) 05:18, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
I just wondered whether you would be able to change my username? I'm not sure quite how it works but I have submitted a request for change username on the page. Not sure whether I was meant to ask for permission from you or not!
I recently placed a request to change my username from JGraus to RFriedman. In response to your question, JGraus referred to an assistant who is no longer working for our company. I wanted to change the username to RFriedman to reflect this change.
Thank you so much for blanking them. Now I can happily retire from editing after 7 years. I really had a great time here since 2005. Wish you all the best! Imortalheze77 (talk) 20:15, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions, and best wishes! 28bytes (talk) 20:20, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Just saw the confirmation of my username usurpation. Thank you very much, hope I can get a SUL account soon! ESM (talk) 07:34, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Happy to help. 28bytes (talk) 08:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Hey 28, I know you feel a bit Nazi'd out, but could you take a look at this edit to my User talk? It just seems...odd, I guess. We have a brand new account, dropping a Template (and substituting it correctly) on to my user page, making exactly 0 other edits, and praising me for, it seems, the very, very little work I've already done for Portal:Nazi Germany. Now I'm not saying this smells or tastes like duck, but I think I see some webbed feet in regards to this Portals' last builder. Now I'm not the biggest expert on puppetry, sock or otherwise, so I don't exactly know how to procede. Am I just being paranoid, or is it reasonable to have suspicions? Achowat (talk) 13:34, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Hmm, I agree that is odd. I think it's reasonable to be suspicious. But probably not much to worry about at this point. 28bytes (talk) 15:58, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
So I'm just going to come at it from the view of "Thank you, stranger", and monitor Rawrkitten to see if s/he pops up in any more Duckish places. Thanks. Achowat (talk) 16:03, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Can you please check my usurpation request? --Wustenfuchs 23:49, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
About the usurpation request Ndiverprime -> Ndiver
I saw your comment for the usurpation request I made for the username Ndiver. I tried to contact the current owner of this username by writing a message on his talk page, the user ( Hillcrest98 ) also did the same and none of us get any answer up to now.
I have all the reasons to think that the user Ndiver will not use this username in the future, as the message to ask to keep this username was its first login since 2 years ! In such case, the usurpation request seems legitimate, especially when you consider that: 1) I created the username Ndiver on Wikipedia FR more than 2 years before somebody created it on Wikipedia EN, 2) as I said the user did not used it since 2 years and 3) that i would need this username to contribute on Wikipedia EN with a unified account (I'm doing a doctorate degree in zoology and I would like to contribute on Wikipedia for the species i'm studying).
You are welcome to ask for a second opinion on the bureaucrats' noticeboard; perhaps another 'crat will disagree with my decision and grant your request. I have no objection if they do. 28bytes (talk) 14:04, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your answer and your cordiality :-) --Ndiverprime (talk) 17:32, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Perhaps it isn't an issue for usernames, but the resulting username in that move was an evidence of the user's clear battleground mentality. He thinks everyone is out to get him and is saying he is still standing as a result. RyanVesey 20:52, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
I doubt it, but we can go with that. I'm not out to get him in any way, but he's certainly making editing less fun. RyanVesey 20:57, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
This is Fionnuala Mary Collins, the artist. I recently wrote an article which has been undone/deleted. I added all the references from National magazines and papers regarding the article. I was wondering if you could help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. I'm sorry to report that there were not enough accounts available for you to have one. I have you on our list though and if more become available we will notify you promptly.
We're continually working to bring resources like Credo to Wikipedia editors, and this will very hopefully not be your last opportunity to sign up for one. If you haven't already, please check out WP:HighBeam and WP:Questia, where accounts are still available. Cheers, Ocaasi 19:10, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
user name change
Hi I am hoping you can change my username. I didn't realise that it would publish my username, I thought it would publish my signature in the edit history.
So wondering if you can change my username from 'Danroosters' to 'Drstrs'
