|WikiProject Stub sorting|
This tarot stub is intended for use for any article related to tarot, whether for gaming or for divination. I am in fact more partial to tarot card games than I am to tarot divination. I think it's more fun to play tarot than to read it!
However having the fool or excuse from the modern French playing tarot would limit the scope of the stub. The TdM was originally intended for card playing and this is what French players used before Grimaud created a newer deck borrowed from a German design. Because the Tarot de Marseilles is part of BOTH the history of tarot as a game and as a divination tool, the fool from this deck seems most appropriate.
I would say similar if someone were to replace the TdM fool with one from a so-called "modern" deck designed ONLY for divination, such as the fool from the Waite Smith deck.
