A complex RfC is going on, after a long bout of edit war. Uninvolved editors needed at the discussion. Aditya(talk • contribs) 06:39, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government recent change needs verification
A non-logged-in editor updated Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government.
Part of the update attempted to change the name of the topic to State Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government Affairs.
This needs attention from someone familiar with the topic. If the name change is accurate, the page may need to be moved. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 12:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
Need help with Central Province stub articles
Hi folks! I'm a member of the Stub sorting WP and I'm trying to sort Category:Central Province, Sri Lanka geography stubs into their respective districts. (There are over 1,200 articles without any district category assigned; I'm having to go to each article, check the coordinates on a map, and sort accordingly.) There are several articles where the title includes "Eastern Province" but the stub type assigned is that for Central Province, and there are no coordinates to check. tl;dr If you know what province any of the following settlements are in, would you please indicate it here or assign the appropriate province category to the article?
- Wadiya, Eastern Province
- Wadiyagoda, Eastern Province
- Radagoda, Eastern Province
- Radawela, Eastern Province
- Udagama, Eastern Province
- Rozella, Eastern Province
- Pangala, Eastern Province
- Pelena, Eastern Province
- Pinnawala, Eastern Province
- Palawa, Eastern Province
- Madakumbura, Eastern Province
- Madampitiya, Eastern Province
- Madawala, Eastern Province
- Mahara, Eastern Province
- Mahiyangana, Eastern Province
- Thanks in advance for any help! Her Pegship (?) 21:12, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Pegship: Although it's common for several settlements to have the same name, they all look like they're in Central Province and whoever created the articles used the wrong province in the title.
- This list of villages in Central Province from 1992 might help with your work as it's sorted by district. You can then use Cat-a-lot to categorise the settlements by district. Still a lot of work to categorise 1,200 articles but easier than checking co-ordinates.--Obi2canibe (talk) 15:04, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you SO VERY MUCH. My search skills are well-honed but I have been unable to find anything like this list online. I've never heard of Cat-a-Lot but will go find it as soon as convenient. Thank you for broadening my horizons. Her Pegship (?) 18:04, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Naming of Sri Lankan years articles
There is a discussion here regarding the naming of Sri Lankan years articles prior to 1972 when the country was officially and commonly known as Ceylon. Your comments are welcome.--Obi2canibe (talk) 15:49, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Sri Lankan cricket lists
Hi everyone. Hope you all are well. If anyone you have some time then please give your input at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of international cricket five-wicket hauls on Irish cricket grounds. Thanks. Störm (talk) 17:31, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
