Bealle's list and Questionable journals list
I am having a bit of difficulty with high impact journals that turn out to be predatory or hijacked. Specifically high end publications with heavy conflicts of interest/outside funding issues -- trying to avoid the MDPI, Hindawi, Frontiers type issues that keep sneaking back into articles.
Are our questionable journal lists and Bealle's the best we have at ferreting these issues out? I'm posting this question on Headbomb and Zefr's talk pages as well.
For those who use the desktop version of WP, a number of improvements have recently rolled out. Basically one can shrink the left sidebar and the search box is larger and centered. It is opt in. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:58, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Heads up about some unprotections
Hi there Doc James. As the headline says, I wanted to drop by to give a heads up that I've unprotected Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease, both of which you'd (very reasonably) put under semi-protection in 2012. My hope is that now that many years have passed, these will no longer be a target for vandalism. I'll keep an eye on both, so if my hopes are misplaced, we can re-protect any time. I've also invited folks at WT:MED to consider our currently protected medicine-related pages, so there may be more to follow. If this experiment is a big flop, well at least we'll have learned something. More importantly, I hope you're staying well. Best, Ajpolino (talk) 19:21, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
News and updates for administrators from the past month (March 2021).
I've just seen you had a dialogue with utilisateur:Hoofsard fr:Discussion_utilisateur:Hoofsard.
But it looks like you have seen he did any/some change related to "doc".
Could you please fix this point with him?
