Trolling by an edit-warring IP
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Category templates
Hello. Due to the outcome of this CfD I think you might need to update {{Category U.S. State elections by decade}} and {{Category U.S. State elections by year}} as they no longer function properly for the Washington DC categories (see the mess of categories it produces at Category:1870s elections in Washington, D.C. or Category:1978 elections in Washington, D.C., plus the categories are now sorted under "e" in e.g. Category:1978 elections in the United States by state). Pinging HandsomeFella in case they can help sort it out, seeing as they requested the category moves. Cheers, Number 57 13:53, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hope you are well and enjoying a well-earned break.
- I have made temporary fixes to both templates, until you have time to do them properly. – Fayenatic London 15:24, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Draft:Edit count
I'm writing an article on this concept, and I thought you might have some perspective on it. Cheers! BD2412 T 21:52, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Lionel Pearson and William Crosfield
Would you have any idea how best to track down any evidence that Lionel Pearson and William Crosfield are related? I think Crossfield (an MP for a couple of years) was the maternal grandfather of Lionel Pearson based on the mention here, but maybe not as 'William Crosfield' may have been a very common name. The connection would be the daughter named Bertha (mother of Lionel). Carcharoth (talk) 09:52, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Just to let you know that I have now been able to confirm the above. Carcharoth (talk) 00:24, 13 February 2021 (UTC) Apologies for yet another update: It turns out that the MP was the sister of Bertha, unless the grandfather (also called William Crosfield) was also an MP. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:D (programming language) software

A tag has been placed on Category:D (programming language) software requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Honestly cannot work out how to get Oceania out
https:/wiki/Category:2010_in_Indonesian_sport - Indonesia is in Asia/Southeast Asia - and not Oceania - I must apologise, I cannot see how to get Oceania out of the template that you used - it would be appreciated if you could give a clue - thanks. I will ask elsewhere as well, as I have had issue with other inclusive templates where dubious associations have been ascribed as well, so no problems either way... Nah, I'll leave it for the moment, sorry to have bothered... JarrahTree 03:17, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

place the General sanctions/Coronavirus disease 2019 editnotice template on pages in scope that do not have page-specific sanctions
? - There is a discussion in progress concerning automatic protection of each day's featured article with Pending Changes protection.
- When blocking an IPv6 address with Twinkle, there is now a checkbox with the option to just block the /64 range. When doing so, you can still leave a block template on the initial, single IP address' talkpage.
- When protecting a page with Twinkle, you can now add a note if doing so was in response to a request at WP:RfPP, and even link to the specific revision.
- There have been a number of reported issues with Pending Changes. Most problems setting protection appear to have been resolved (phab:T273317) but other issues with autoaccepting edits persist (phab:T275322).
