List of inventions
Two issues that arise from cleaning up the list. First, its position. When I was rewriting lead it seemed illogical to deal with the historical role in science of the UK second, so should we put this at the top of the article, rather than at the end? Second, it is in no particular order at the moment. I plan to add dates to the people there, so we could then order it by date of birth of inventors (dates of inventions are very difficult as there is rarely a single date), or we could break it down, as I did recently in the United Kingdom article, into theories, discoveries and applications, which would have the virtue of heading off the problem that it might be seen as a list of miscellaneous information. Any thoughts welcome.--SabreBD (talk) 10:34, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
@SabreBD
The list should be separated into different sections ,such as computing and chemistry, and should include the date they were discovered or patented etc. For example like in the List of English inventions and discoveries Page.
Also this whole page seems to be lacking in content compared to the equivalent England and Scotland pages i'll add more inventions and discoveries to it sometime.
