Avneet Kaur (born 13 October 2001) is an Indian actress.[3] She is known for portraying Princess Yasmine in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga and Charumati in Chandra Nandini.[4]
Career
Avneet Kaur began her career with Zee TV's dance show Dance India Dance Li'l Masters.[5][6] She was eliminated before the semi-finals.[7] She then participated in Dance Ke Superstars, where she joined the team of "Dance Challengers".[8]
Kaur made her acting debut in 2012 with Life OK's Meri Maa[9] where she played Jhilmil.[8] Then, she was seen in SAB TV's Tedhe Hain Par Tere Mere Hain.[9] She then participated in the Colors TV's celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,[9] where she was a contestant with Darsheel Safary. She was eliminated in August.[6][10][11] Later, Kaur was featured in Life OK's Savitri, where she played Rajkumari Damyanti.[5] In August 2013, Kaur played Pakhi in Zee TV's Ek Mutthi Aasmaan.[12][13] She also appeared in ZeeQ's news bulletin titled The Weekly Rap.[7]
Kaur started her film career in 2014 with Pradeep Sarkar's Mardaani.[8]
In September 2014, she played Khushi in Sony Pal's Hamari Sister Didi.[14][15] In 2017, Kaur played Queen Charumati in Chandra Nandini. From 2018 to 2020, she played Princess Yasmine in SAB TV's Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga for 2 years and then left the show due to health issues.[16]
Personal Life
Kaur was born into a punjabi family to Sonia Nandra & Amandeep Nandra[17] on 13th October, 2001 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India; later shifted to Mumbai. Her family also consists her younger brother namely Jaijeet Singh[18].
Avneet Kaur began her career from 2010 at the age of 9. The dancer turned actor has emerged as a talented actress from a child artist.[19] Kaur is a professional dancer, television & film actor, youtuber, social media influencer, writer and also has interest in singing.[20]
In 2020, Kaur cleared her 12th Maharashtra Board exams with 74%.[21][22]
As of 2021, Kaur is pursuing a degree in commerce from a private college in Kandivali, Mumbai.[23]
